Originating from the merging of two laboratories (Marseille Observatory and the Space Astronomy Laboratory), the Marseille Astrophysics Laboratory is one of the four CNRS space laboratories.
It belongs to the OAMP (Marseille-Provence Astronomy Laboratory), which federates the regional astronomy laboratories in the sciences of the universe / space. This whole will gather together in the Technology Park in a single 10,000-m2 building by the end of 2006.
